What is Coaching?

Coaching is a process aimed at helping you to achieve your goals and maximise your potential in a safe and confidential space. It involves a collaborative relationship between you and me, your coach. I will provide feedback and guidance but I will not advise per se. I will help you to recognise your direction and goals and how you might achieve this by:

Self Discovery

... helping you to identify your strengths, weaknesses and values to gain deeper insights into yourself and what you want to achieve.  I may do this by simply asking you to identify an area that you wish to talk about or explore.   If you are uncertain as to a particular area that you would like to focus on, I may use tools to assist you to arrive at a topic that you may wish to explore further.

Goal Setting

... working with you to identify clear and achievable goals which may include career advancement, personal growth, overcoming challenges, etc.  I will not advise, but will ask you questions, listen and observe intently, and gauge your responses with a view to steering you towards finding your own goals and solutions. You have your own strengths and inner resources and my role will be to help you to harness and use these attributes.

Action Planning
& Accountability

... assisting you to to create action plans to achieve your goals, be these small or large. Additionally, I will help you to be accountable for taking action and progressing towards your goals by providing support, encouragement, constructive feedback, etc

Empowerment

... ultimately, the coaching journey should equip you to take ownership of your direction and to make positive changes through self-confidence, self-awareness, resilience, etc.
